Delaware Valley (PA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated

Our vision is to help eliminate disparities in our community while reducing barriers to services through the execution of advocacy, education and service. As a chapter, we are empowered to empower our communities through partnership, and by extending our initiatives to communities with the greatest need. For example, our national program, “Trash Talking: It’s No Joke!” addresses bullying, encourages a child’s self esteem, encourages communication between parents and children about personal safety, and reinforces the need for adult supervision and protection.

Justice System

Our chapter led a panel discussion with representatives from the Criminal Justice System, Law Enforcement and Psychology and youth at the WBGC about the justice system and how to work together to build our communities, reduce violence and expose youth to positive role models.

Human Trafficking

Our chapter supports awareness about Human Trafficking by participating in the She's My Sister Anti-Human Trafficking Walk.

Voter Registration

Our chapter collaborated with Links chapters in the Keystone Cluster to organize voter registration events on the HBCU campuses of Lincoln, Cheyney and Delaware State Universities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Delaware Valley Chapter has created a virtual voter outreach program to engage students at Cheyney University in the upcoming November 2020 election.
